Trust me, you're not alone! Transcendental Meditation (TM) - a few minutes of TM can ground you like nothing else. It’s all about letting go of the noise and tuning into yourself. Muscle Tension Relaxation - releasing tension from the shoulders, jaw, or hands can feel like a reset button. Start noticing where you hold tension and let it go. Eyebrow Stretching - sounds funny, but it actually helps! Raising and stretching your brows can release forehead tension, giving your face an instant lift. Havening Technique - gentle, soothing strokes that calm the nervous system. Perfect when stress feels physical. My Tip: Try “micro-breaks.” Every hour, step back, stretch, or just breathe deeply for 60 seconds. You'll feel way more balanced.

Balancing work and life while managing stress can be a challenge, but baby steps will take you up the mountain! Here’s what works for me: I start by setting clear boundaries—designating work-free hours with a focus on play and unwinding I allow one late night a week I plan 'energy breaks' throughout the day, like a quick walk or stretching exercises, to stay centered I use schedule-blocking to focus on high-priority tasks, which adds structure to my day and reduces overwhelm. I make a shorter daily "get it done" list based on manager and key stakeholder input I remind myself that the important stuff will get done on time and had trust in that statement Remember, small, consistent steps toward self-care build resilience over time.

If balance, like a seesaw, is about an even distribution enabling you to remain steady, we may never find it. Balance, to me, is more like standing on a boat. Its not the sea that remains steady, it's me remaining steady on something that's constantly in motion. It's the ability to recalibrate. In life, we may have daily, monthly, annual seasons of change. Sometimes work needs room - big client/project, changing career, secondment etc Sometimes home needs room - finding a partner, moving house, having a child etc So keeping the relationship between work and the rest of our lives healthy, is more about our ability adapt to life's inevitable changes, to know what we need now, and to shift our balance so 'we' are steady, not the 'sea'.

Set clear work and personal boundaries. Prioritize tasks and delegate when possible. Take regular breaks and unplug after hours. Practice self-care—exercise, sleep, and hobbies. Use time blocking to stay organized. Be realistic with your goals and expectations.
