I identified a conflict in a manager's mentoring program due to communication difficulties in my team. To resolve this, the manager participated in one internal intensive training that covered active listening, empathy and constructive feedback, as well as encouraging new ideas and valuing different work styles. After the training, the manager learned to better listen and consider the mentee's ideas, which made the mentee feel more comfortable and valued when sharing their ideas. By empowering mentors to better deal with different work styles and perspectives, you not only improve the quality of the mentoring relationship, but also enhance the mentees' contributions.
