The ability for 3D printing to create novel specific solutions to problems is its strength. In the medical field being able to keep a base design and materials on hand allows for greater versatility and faster response times in care. A wider variety of solutions that can be formed for a specific person or applications both increases the rate of care but also the likelihood a patient will utilize the device. The devices can be more comfortable, less intrusive and created in hours in house as opposed to waiting for shipping. In some cases devices may being altogether unavailable in remote areas. Instead files can be crafted to a patient needs, downloaded in the remote location and printed by on-site healthcare providers.
