1) Collaborating to understand the feature, its impacted areas, & associated risks early on helps in prioritising which test cases are critical vs less critical 2) Automate tests at various levels in testing pyramid to prevent the defects efficiently 3) Cost of fixing the defect when found on environment is higher vs when caught during development. So executing the tests before code gets pushed on any environment like Unit , Integration with proper test coverage will reduce feedback loops and regression cycles 4) In case the team already have longer running regression suite which is an anti pattern, while it can’t change overnight but in that case addressing lengthy regression suites with risk analysis, defining smoke/sanity tests will help
