How is UI design evolving for software systems?

One thing I found during AI model development there could be data poisoning attack or hyper parameters tempering attack where in a hostile actor can tamper model outputs if we are not careful about these attack surface while designing AI based systems.

Lot of times the screen resolution won’t be considered while designing the applications. Let it be a mobile or desktop or web. It’s an important aspect that the designers must consider when designing the application. The user may be using a device we may not even know. At the same time the implementation and testing must also be done accordingly. Coming to responsiveness, don’t keep the users waiting for long time to see the response. It must be fast enough to enhance the user engagement. Show the loading indicators where ever needed, shown appropriate alerts, warnings and error messages that user can understand. Don’t use technical words in the design that confuses the users.

Localisation and internationalisation are two important aspects that have to be considered to make the application reach more users. Use the text specific to the country or user preferences, use the numbers as per the Locale, use currency accordingly etc. Now a days all the frameworks are providing necessary methods to handle it automatically.

One of the main aspects that comes to mind is customization when it comes to various languages , also personalization of the interface to be adaptable for users adapting to disabilities. It is very important to be aware if the various aspects and behaviors of your users while presenting your UI.

One of the biggest things in UI that is changing is incorporating more conversations into UI's the ability to do guided wizard with LLM's has increased to require conversation design.
