11-13 years ago server-less computing, edge computing, containers, HPC high performance computing was not a thing (at-lease for me), Alibaba cloud was newly started at that period and now it has 5% share in the global cloud market, more than oracle, IBM that itself shows the evolve of cloud storage. AWS is still the leader but Microsoft is catching up fast. its a no brainer for companies to move to cloud, companies like Tiktok, Uber will not be a success without cloud. Even startups prefer building from cloud. The future for cloud seem very interesting with multi-cloud involving automation and AI.
