It's important to focus on the interpersonal skills/competencies that are really important for success in your current role (or the role you are hoping to move into). This makes the approach to self-assessment more structured and relevant. Many companies already have role-based competencies and if they don't, it is a simple exercise with a manager/coach to identify them. My advice is to have no more than 16 key competencies per role.

In a rapidly changing professional environment, despite the job description and roles & responsibility there are few skills a peroneal must have to effectively manage their role, one of the such skill is having a wonderful interpersonal skills, this will bring some the other success mantras closer, such as team work, effective communication, adoptability ect.
