Les bases sont les bases et ce n'est pas pour rien qu'elles existent ! Ne pas les apprendre, c'est irrémédiablement se tirer une balle dans le pied ... ou ailleurs ... Quand tu fais un métier, n'importe lequel, il faut d'abord raisonner en apprentissage des bases sinon c'st canné

I like practicing my transcription skills with my own podcast, with YouTube videos, and podcast episodes in foreign languages. Transcription practice can be a great aid for language learners. I started doing this with music in the conservatory. The ear-training classes were great, but it was important to practice that as home as well. When transcribing language, I feel it's similar. We need to be proactive in creating our own opportunities to practice and get better at it with contents we enjoy.

Un don sans travail est une sale manie. je pense qu'il n'y a pas plus vrai. On peut tous avoir un don dans quelque chose mais si le travail et la régularité ne suit pas, alors ce don / zone de génie / avantage absolu s'évapore

Since last year I have been using Descript. It's great to create transcription for my podcast, captions for short-form videos, and even to transcribe classes and lessons in audio format. I use it mainly to transcribe Spanish and English content, and it serves me really well. It was useful to learn first the main editing functions there and practice for a couple weeks until getting the hang of it. And for the rest, you get better with practice!

To stay updated with trends, you’ll actually have to pick the medium that works for you. For instance, I prefer subscribing to newsletters to recieve subsequent information via email because I visit there frequently. I also enjoy listening to podcasts and of course networking at webinars and conferences.
