How do you train end-users with different IT skills in IT Operations?

Here are 2 items that we use: - Survey Employees: Conduct a survey or assessment to understand the current IT skill levels of employees. To be successful, it's needed to Identify Key IT Operations which is a list of the specific IT tools, software, and operations that are essential for employees' roles within the company. - Identify Gaps: Determine where the skill gaps are and what specific training is needed for different groups. Inside any organization, I always believe that the IT Department will have a better understanding of those gaps in the company. Because of that engage with managers and team leaders to understand the specific IT needs of different departments and how they align with overall business goals.

Now get Hands-on Practice for users to apply learned skills. Also implement TTT( train the trainer program) where trained users can use their learned knowledge and close with Feedback and Recognition

Start with needs and pain points. It is very important to understand the needs and pain points of customers, which is also the inconsistency they experience constantly on a daily basis.

Training should start even before the user starts using IT equipment. We provide information once a new employee signed his contract. In this documentation we set the expectations (both ways) and also enroll the user into a on-boarding e-learning. Once this is completed we offer them mandatory education but we also offer them access to free to use e-learnings. So the more interested employee can dive into the deep if he wants to and the more resisting employee is required to follow training.
