I feel a vision should be far less prespcriptive and allow for emergence in the “how” time bounding a vision with smart principles horrifies me. When more structure is built and leaders begin to be added, you can begin to work more on the company than in it.

We often underestimate what we can do in 6 months, a year and even 5 to 10 years and overestimate and push ourselves and drag ourselves down on what we can and should achieve in 1 day, 1 week and 1 months. Celebrating milestones and realising consistency and continuity over short-term quick push is much more valuable and sustainable can support us implementing our vision and doing so with longer lasting impact.

I don't see enough companies doing this. As a leader you need to bring your team along with you. Twitter had a great culture around this, if you were shipping a product or celebrating a milestone all of the communication around that included a list of the people who helped make that a reality and what their role was.
