This is where I spend most of my time as a Data Scientist. Selecting the right metric, comparing multiple models using this metric, manually looking at the wrong predictions and spotting if there are any patterns on which the model is consistently failing, ascertaining that there aren't any mislabelled instances etc. all comes under this umbrella of model evaluation.
