A non-profit is uniquely positioned to coordinate/advocate for multi-year funding. Here transparency must play a leading role and this remains fundamental partners and donors. Non-profits should endeavor to coordinate and facilitate multi-year grants furnished by a consortium of members to a specific initiative or to support implementation. Planning and organizing principles rest on transparency and the efforts at collaboration. Broadening the funding base would provide a more sustainable footing for supporting implementation of current and future priorities. This is a sensitive approach, but experience has shown collaboration is most important to our donors as a key part of judgment and decision-making in these resource-constrained times.
