Start thinking about security and privacy early - very early - in your design process. Not doing so could haunt you for years if you don't! Here's an example: you should have controls around who can see/interact with PII (personally identifiable information). Not having them can open you up to liability. Easy, right? we'll just restrict every table where that exists. But what about an "orders" table? Lots of internal customers may have valid reasons for viewing a table like "orders" for analysis and planning purposes, internal customers who don't need to see name and address for the table to be useful. So instead of loading the order address to the table, use PK/FK to restricted "users" and "user address" tables.
