Here are a few more things to consider: 1) Understand the broader context of the scenario 2) Give an overview of the situation to the person/s whom you are sharing with 3) Cross-check with relevant team heads about to whom this confidential information is being shared & to which extent. 4) Share only to the required level. Eg: If you are sharing a sensitive document, give only view access to the person, instead of editing rights & don't make the document public. 5) Always keep such sensitive & confidential information through official channels, where it's easy to track & control rather than chat. 6) Make them accountable for this sensitive information 7)Keep monitoring the impacts of this confidential information, if any.
