One issue I've been trying to address for a few years is to ensure any graphical images are accessible for students with diverse colour perception (e.g. red-green colour blindness). I try to not have too wide a range of colours on slides or other teaching materials. Fortunately my university's colours are blue and gold, and using these hues helps accessibility. I also make use of gradational colour palettes, so that colours always differ on a light-dark scale as well as by hue. The “viridis” family of colour palettes is a good place to start.
