Change is hard, so when implementing new workflows, you have to make sure that your entire team is on board. The reason that you’re likely implementing workflows is to increase efficiency, safety, and/ or productivity, so it would likely be beneficial for all to adopt these workflows early on. Your team must be open to feedback as any new system can have glitches or items that were overlooked. In a fast paced, digital world, workflows are essential to the growth of many organizations, especially in healthcare. If you have a specific niche like healthcare, you also have to remember that while workflows help with productivity and standardization, sometimes the user has to think through processes that may be outside the box.

4 Evaluate your improved workflows

The fourth step to optimize healthcare workflows is to evaluate your improved state and measure the impact and effectiveness of your solutions and changes.
