1 Set clear goals and expectations

In my experience, role-playing is an excellent way for employees and leaders to reenact real-life scenarios. This said, the exercise should be a safe space without judgment. It is also important to start with and inject humour into scenarios, this takes away the stress of the situation as most would be shy in-front of their colleagues. This would take away some of the apprehension and lead towards a more fruitful role play session.

This should be repeated until it becomes natural for them to perform these tasks in the way the organisation expects. Repetition. It's always good to remember that not everyone learns the same way. Some absorb looking at Power Point slides. Others are turned off by them. Some are more tactile, or learn while doing. The best thing is to have a mixture of different styles during the training session. One size does not fit all.
