It's ideal to gain CREDIBILITY among YOUR audience: * EVERY time someone complements your work, send a reco request. * If they say or email a complement, you can capture it for them in the note: "I was honored when you thanked me for _____. Would you kindly share this so my followers consider me for future (speaking) programs, too?" * Write THEM a great reco in context: how/where you met, their impact, their superpowers, why they ROCK Be generous and authentic!

Listen for THEIR words, get out of your head and into THEIR way of thinking. * Use Otter.ai or other transcription services to capture any debrief * Word cloud: Trying copying (select, drag your mouse over the copy, paste on a new word/google doc). I've dropped this info into a word cloud tool to see what key words/phrases surface most. * ChatGPT4 can take this input and allow queries such as: what are the top 5 reasons clients trust me? What 5 words or terms describe their biggest fear? (Endless possibilities). Always run your next big piece by your best client or prospect: "I'd love your input on this new language. What are we missing?" Show & tell.

-Find themes. -Spot gaps. Use data to see what people really think. It helps you pivot or double down. Makes your brand stronger. It is okay to change!

As a certified virtual speaker, engagement and feedback are key to proving your worth (and getting rehired over MANY years). In the pre-tech days, I'd use my "million dollar survey" and ask folks to grade the talk. We'd score ratings points...but always asked about: - biggest takeaway "aha moment" - what else would like like to learn more about - offer to get a free ___ (value to them) They entered to win a prize for submitting the form with their name, email. That grew my list and I learned how to improve/follow up. It's easier today! Ask for feedback in every e-program. Engage in polls, chat rooms, get the audience talking so the debrief adds value.
