Find people who are masters in the same field you want, and follow those who inspire you. Beyond that, connect with them; they are people, too. Sure, being able to say that I've met Milton Glaser is impressive, but what I've learned from him as a designer is much more. It is like being a detective; you must examine their work and determine what makes it successful. And if you can, talk with them about it. There is always a story behind the process, and those stories provide invaluable insight.,

I've realized it's all about figuring things out as you go. I kicked off with a clear idea of what I wanted to achieve and where I needed to level up.
