Before you negotiate, you need to coordinate with your recruiter to understand the negotiable and non negotiable aspects of the offer that has been made for you. Once you gain that information, double down on your efforts to understand the market value pay for the negotiable components. Now, make up a great case for how this ask is justified. And viola! If the company sees sense in this and can afford it, you've got yourself a deal. Either way, know your walk away number (WAN).
