Mentoring is very personal. I would argue that although the consistency of quality of mentoring is important through training of mentors, each mentee will be looking for unique support on their own journey. For this reason, I would suggest that although a clear and specific goals and expectation should be agreed at the start of the relationship, the expectation should be that this will evolve - and this can not be expected to be the same goal for each mentee across locations.
