In my current work environment we have an asset management system where all the information about the computer hardware is stored. The information contains asset number, the person using the hardware and department or where its still in store room, the value of the hardware etc. This information is updated continously.

I am OCD. I track serial number, IMEI number, SIM chip, MAC address, Ethernet address, Bluetooth Address, Sim Phone number. There are 2 main reasons. 1) I may have to sift through log files and put a name to date. 2) I have prevented wrongful terminations. Short version a user showed up wrongfully on a cell phone bill that had illegal activity my logs proved innocence before they got fired. Saving the company a $$$$ lawsuit.

Print table sheets containing information regarding SKU, manufacturer, serial number, incoming date, outgoing date, location, ordered by, received by, issued by, and notes (ordered, lent, returned).
