One thing that can help maintain a great connection with your writing mentor, will be applying what you have been taught and coming back to ask questions and ask for more insight or suggestions in the area of confusion. This attitude will inform your mentor that you value what he or she teaches. It also makes him feel proud that his formula or knowledge can be replicated in another life producing enviable results. What a joy it is when a mentor can publicly boast about his student who uses his formula and ripe great or even greater result.
