How do you integrate Environmental Monitoring with other disciplines and sectors?
Environmental monitoring is the systematic collection and analysis of data on the state and trends of natural resources, ecosystems, and human activities that affect them. It is essential for informing decision-making, evaluating policies, and communicating with stakeholders. However, environmental monitoring alone is not enough to address the complex and interrelated challenges and opportunities of sustainable development. To achieve meaningful outcomes, environmental monitoring needs to be integrated with other disciplines and sectors that can provide complementary perspectives, insights, and solutions.
