Always go into the event expecting to pivot from your original shoot plan. From the large to small scale shoots, I've always experienced at least one issue. Approach as normal or expected, and this will help navigate to find resolution and/or solutions.

A shot story - I was on an advertising shoot for a liquor brand. My food stylist could not execute a certain technique that the client wanted to achieve. I paused and spoke with the client on the side and told them we would handle the situation. I went downstairs to a nice coffee shop to where there were 3 baristas who had years of experience doing the thing that my food style had only done a handful of times. I asked them if they could come execute the need. (For a price, of course. ) But by thinking creatively, I was able to solve the problem.
