I agree that feedback and criticism is a critical part of a manager or leaders growth. My manager recently gathered feedback from my direct reports and today he took the time to share that feedback with me. I was excited to hear what my team had to say about me and my leadership. It is now up to me to process and respond appropriately so that my teams can see the changes that need to happen. It is important to remember that your team taking time to provide feedback is a positive thing it is when they are silent that you have completely lost them and you need to seriously reflect on your leadership and find where you and your team are disconnected with each other.

Understanding our triggers forces one to deal with triggers like disappointment, failure, and imposter syndrome. Address the negative emotions, process it, and move forward.
