How do you handle changes or updates to user stories for a mobile app during the development process?

Some of the most common causes are NFRs which tend to get an oversight during the initial stages of user story refinement. Those become a cause to revisit or update a use story. A few other scenarios are change in client expectation, improper estimation, change in dependencies etc which call for an update of the acceptance criteria which has a cascading effect on testing and deliverables

When updating features and stories, there are a couple of points to consider. First, we need to identify the reason for the change and prioritize it. We also need to assess the impact on the existing delivery plan. Once we have this information, we can plan and manage our board more effectively.

Based on their opinion, we can modify the feature or story if necessary. Sometimes, this will help us avoid unnecessary time allocation. Overall, communication on changes will help us execute the work smoothly.

While I agree with most of what's being said, the NFR as a reason to change a story makes me very nervous. Depending on what stage, this sounds like scope creep. Most of my changes after initial reviews and nailing down reqts are for correction, clarification, and elaboration. Not NFRs.
