Each business has different Sustainability goals but every business has at least 3 benchmarks to achieve: People, Planet, and Profit. Currently in any business whenever we want to introduce some new ideas first we need to look into 3 factors Desirability, Feasibility as well as Viability.

I'm sure there are situations where it would not make sense to share the technical specifics, but you can always document your procedure in a continuity book. If it is getting annoying or difficult to convey in your documentation, that would be a pretty good indicator that you still need to further improve your solution. Sometimes the easiest answer can be summed up by a simple statement. Make it make sense!

Long term sustainability should be put in perspectives when it comes in relation to "solutions" There are some solutions that would be sustained forever ONLY IF there is no war. There are sustainable solutions that would crack just before an unprecedented and unexpected natural event like earthquake. It is ideal to carve our sustainability around nature of problem that we created a solution for. If the problem is getting a loamy soil instead of existing sandy soil to grow crops on a piece of land, our solution would be what would ensure that any soil can definitely be supplied to that piece of land in the long run? That helps us to understand our perspectives.
