1 Diversity of thought

Diversity of thought refers to the variety of cognitive styles, mental models, and approaches that your team members use to understand and solve problems. It can help your team generate more and better ideas, avoid groupthink, and challenge assumptions. To evaluate diversity of thought, you can use tools such as the Kirton Adaption-Innovation Inventory (KAI), which measures how people prefer to innovate, or the Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument (HBDI), which identifies how people prefer to think. You can also observe how your team members interact, share, and build on each other's ideas.
