Environmental justice is the fair and equitable treatment of all people and communities in relation to environmental issues, such as pollution, climate change, and natural resources. It recognizes that some groups, especially those marginalized by race, class, gender, or geography, are disproportionately affected by environmental harms and denied environmental benefits. As an international organization, you may have to engage with diverse stakeholders and communities on environmental justice issues, such as policy making, advocacy, research, or education.
