The service offering, to the extent possible, should be designed in a way that the conditions, measurements and data collection are part of the service and do not typically represent “an ask” but are rather part of the service. This will not always be possible or natural, but consider a “career coaching service” for example. The coaching is the independent variable and the measures and data collection are indications of the “ROI” for the client such that the positive effect of the coaching can be demonstrated and accumulated to support efforts to “sell” the service ongoingly.
