One excellent way to do this is to add quality clauses or just bullet requirements on the purchase order. Make sure that all received material meets the purchase order requirements. Plan, do, check act. Develop a receiving inspection process to inspect, sample or audit all purchase items as necessary. Document any non conformances and create corrective actions to correct discrepant material. Change the plan if needed for future materials.
