Remove your power cable from the computer. Attach an ESD strap to your wrist and to a bare metal screw on the back of the PSU or any where else that is not painted metal to ensure you are grounded. Now open your case. Use a screw driver for the screws that are locking in your PCIe slot covers. Remove the screws, then the slot covers and place them in a storage location for later use. Insert the new network card into a free compatible PCIe slot and ensure it seats properly and aligns with where you took out the back slot cover. Tighten the screw or screws back down over the metal lip of the network card and onto the case. Remove your ESD strap, close the computer case, flip the switch on the back side, and plug the power cable back in.
