How do you deal with fabric defects and customer complaints?

When a customer raises a complaint, it may involve fabric defects or other process-related issues such as higher yarn breakage etc. The first step is to listen and conduct a thorough technical assessment. In fabric manufacturing, it's best to send a technical expert on-site to evaluate the issue. After the assessment, communicate the findings with the supplier and keep the buyer informed. If necessary, replace the defective material to avoid production delays, and suggest appropriate credit or debit adjustments. Building strong relationships is crucial in the B2B textile industry, as it facilitates better understanding and effective resolution of issues. Cutting out by removing defective areas & re-sewing the fabric. 4. Re-finishing re-applying finishes like dyeing, printing, or coating to correct color or texture defects. 5. Re-treatment re-applying chemical treatments to correct defects like shrinkage or wrinkling. Correcting defects promptly prevents them from affecting the rest of the production or shipment, ensuring high-quality textiles & minimizing waste.
