How do you create an original voice for your ideas?

One's writing is a reflection of their thoughts, distilled by the wisdom of their experience. Writing is effective when others resonate with it. How do you do that? The first step towards finding one's voice is in accepting that it doesn't happen overnight. Becoming a better writer isn't supposed to feel good. Be vulnerable. Share your failures openly. Everyone fails more often than they succeed, but social media platforms only shows you the shiny side. When you're vulnerable, you're being raw. You're being authentic. You're being relatable. And when people relate to you, they want others to read what you have to say. Do this, and you'll be more honest with yourself and your audience. That's the first step to finding your own voice.

After identifying the right audience, it is imperative to articulate well how the idea is going to benefit them. This often helps in setting up the right tone, and bring the audience in a common platform.

Creating an original voice starts with being true to yourself. It means knowing your quirks, your passions, and your personal experiences, weaving them into the way you express your ideas.??some of the ways to do this are: 1. Personal Journaling: Regularly jot down your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a personal journal.??2. Creative Experiments: Dabble in different forms of writing genres to explore various avenues of expressing yourself.??3. Mindful Consumption: Be selective about the content you consume.?4.?Travel & Explore: Last but not the least, travel to new places or explore different cultures and communities if possible. These experiences often provide fresh perspectives and ideas that can be incorporated into your voice.

Failures are indeed stepping stones. Therefore, citing real life examples of failures and how they were overcome would become more relatable to the audience. Plenty of real case examples help make the idea more acceptable.

If you're a professional writer, you need a thick skin and a soft heart. No matter how good you are, not everyone's going to love what you create. The good thing about feedback is that it's rarely objective, or personal. If you see feedback as an opportunity to explore a different line of thought, rather than a ruthless examination of your work; you're going to be so much happier. You don't need to incorporate every bit of feedback you receive (unless you're a freelancer). Here's my rule of thumb. 1. If feedback feels like it can refine my voice and help me communicate my message better, I'll take it. 2. If feedback involves me changing my voice to become someone I'm not or sell a message I don't believe in, I ignore it.

All the stories/content you write are a unique reflection of the way you view the world, whether you realise it or not. When you imitate another writer, it reflects that you do not think your own writing is good enough. When you write cliffhangers, it reflects the mental journeys you've experienced within you. When you write horror or thrillers, it reflects the dread and adrenaline within you. When you write easy, well-structured blogs, it reflects your clarity of thought. When you write a tutorial, it reflects your deep understanding of the subject matter. You don't need to really "try" to be unique. You already are. All you need to do is write.
