How do you choose the right data structure for your Python application?

On the other hand, if you're organizing a seating plan, you might use a dictionary, associating each guest's name with their assigned table number. Lastly, if you're jotting down the details of the event, like the date, venue, and theme, you'd use a tuple to keep these immutable. Considering these scenarios and your specific needs, you can select the most suitable data structure, just like planning the perfect party!

The O(1) time complexity for contains(), add() and remove() is extremely efficient for sets of non-duplicated data. I use them a lot when dealing with unique IDs or normalizing data

However if you want to modify and access the elements of the collection, then you should use a list since sets cannot handle this kind of operations.

Choose the data structure that best fits your needs based on the operations you'll perform most frequently. For example, if you need to frequently check for the existence of an element, a set might be more appropriate than a list.
