Even the identities of many historical personalities have been tarnished. In my articles, I argue that these misconceptions stem from literature written long after the actual events. Authors often take liberties, introducing ideas that are not necessarily historical facts but rather interpretations influenced by their own perspectives. Additionally, some historians have incorporated these ideas into the historical narrative. I firmly assert that these notions are unauthentic and should not be considered part of genuine history.”

In my experience it’s also important to stay as close to the primary source as possible. Especially translations can add layers of interpretation depending on the agenda of the translator or knowledge of the specific context.
