Those subjects provide not only the the basic foundation needed for this field of work, but also the analytical thinking and problem-solving skills that you'll need to be great at your job. If you've already selected your subjects, or you've already finished school, then approach the tertiary education institution (uni, college, etc.) and ask them for guidance on what you'll need to do to be accepted into their electronics courses. Formal tertiary education is pretty much essential to start a career in electronics. Your work experience will enhance your skills towards becoming a specialist.

Some companies offer job shadowing to high school students who are keen to explore different careers. Do some research on this, and try to shadow an electronics engineer at their workplace. I've had students shadow me, and it is was wonderful to see their enthusiasm and curiosity. Many companies also offer under-grad students internships, so look out for those and sign up. That way, you'll gain real world experience in actual electronics work. Try to spend time at different companies while studying, to gain experience in different industries. Fruit sorting machines are vastly different to power meters which are again vastly different to wearable devices, for example. The more diverse your experience, the better prepared you'll be.

Some, but not all, fields require specialist certifications. Based on your job shadowing and intern experiences, try to identify which fields of electronics you'd prefer to work in, and then find out what, if any, certifications are needed or desirable beyond your tertiary education. Then, if there are some that could benefit you, find out where to acquire them. If you're already working, your employer may have a training budget and might be able to pay for that. No harm in asking, the worst that can happens is they say no which leaves you in the same position financially but armed with information. Definitely keep your CV & online presence up to date with your experience and education, and always be open to opportunities.

Life is a learning experience. Whether you're enrolled at a formal course, or simply speaking to others in your field, you'll always learn. Keep that going. Learning can be through formal courses, but the best learning happens when you take on challenging tasks and solve the problems that they present. That experience will be immeasurably valuable in the future. There are also an ever-increasing number of online courses and articles to read, and it's always good to have a look there. You can also take on roles and tasks in different technologies or industries, as each of these brings a wealth of learning opportunity.

Soft skills, your ability to interact favourably with the people around you, are non-negotiable. It's absolutely imperative to be a good human. That doesn't mean be soft and malleable, but it does mean to do what's right and respect those around you. No matter what work you do, being able to work in a team, especially a team of many different skills, experience, and abilities, is essential. Contribute actively to team meetings. Discuss technical matters with colleagues. Volunteer with unrelated activities such as health & safety, DEI initiatives, or organising company / department / team events. Any activities that involve working with others will help build your soft skills. There are also online and in-person soft-skill courses.

To have a promising progress with a high technical level and behavioral skills at the level of a specialist, it requires constant investment in updates of technology courses that involve circuit analysis, component operation, interpretation of documentation and understanding of technical standards, ethics and legislation. Interest in different technologies and hours of studies. The interesting thing is to start in the analysis of electronic boards, to master the operation of the circuit meshes. Identify and master tools that contribute to speeding up your analyses. To know C/C++ and VHDL language and some IDE. Know how to deal with pressures for better solutions.
