The ability to clearly define the needs of your fleet, and the ability of the MX provider to confirm the ability to meet those needs should serve as the foundation for the agreements you make with them. Don’t shy away from consulting a Master ASE technician to lay out common needs as well as seeking out information about common MX needs of your fleet from the manufacturer or experienced professionals.

A conversation I would encourage anyone to have with any contractual provider is to ask what their KPI’s are. I’ve seen too many organizations that have KPI’s that compete with one another. An example being that Velocity and Quality can(not always) directly compete with the contractors ability to provide quality services. If their focus is Velocity over Quality, ask what their rate of return service is before you proceed.
