How do you analyze and solve complex problems as a leader?

Think of identifying a problem as the compass for your journey. Just as a lost traveler needs to pinpoint their location to reach their destination, a team needs a clear understanding of the problem to achieve their vision. It may be that the problem is not the most important thing to spend your time on at the moment. Being clear on the end result is a good way to start any problem-solving journey

In my experience I prefer to start with the objective. Keeping the scope and objectives in mind ensures you are able to make decisions based on the objective and end goal rather than the current problem. Starting with the reviewing and understanding the objective also improves the ability to imagine creative solutions rather than focus solely on putting out fires.
