Resume should have a proper format with crucial keywords that is relevant to the work that you are doing. Secondly one can focus on the numbers that they have achieved if you are in Sales/HR, for other fields one can write about the projects/implementation they have done. Thirdly resume should have proper details of the tools/software used in the current job. Fourthly one should always mention additional certification/courses completion.

I do not fully agree with this. No ATS screens CVs. Applicant Tracking System (ATS), as the name suggests, is merely a tool to store and track applications. Of course some CVs may be automatically rejected based on the answers to the questionnaire, eg eligibility to work in the job location or salary expectations. CVs are still screened by human recruiters and/or hiring managers. Only filling a resume with keywords and phrases does not add any value. Instead the following steps might: - be authentic, be you, let the CV show who you are and what you bring to the table - read the job description and analyze what the organization is looking for - explain how you add value and fulfill the criteria in clear and simple language

A GOOD recruiter will either reject or move forward with the application/resume and communicate that with the candidate.
