This is my go-to when highlighting our value proposition: 1 - Specific customer needs or problems rather than just stating generic features. 2- Benefits and not features. 3- Proving you are the Best option "The #1 provider of X in Y". Last one ... Use angles of the same problem.

These are the CTAs I love the most: 1- Use strong action verbs like "Buy", "Get", and "Sign Up Now" that incite clicks. 2- "Mister Obvious" what action you want viewers to take - e.g. "Click Here to Get your Free eBook". 3- "Urgency" is the power of "Now" like "24 Hours Only!" or limited quantity claims. The secret is One Clear CTA per ad.

I hate AB testing! Because it is never A/B Testing. In an ad, there are a lot of variables from the ad creative, to the headline to the ad copy to the CTA to the link to the time the ad is shown. etc.. "A/B testing" ads is messy when so many elements are intertwined. The purist in me agrees 100% Rather than changing one variable, we're often tweaking the whole thing. Headline here, copy there, links, images, placement. It's an optimization ensemble. The key is to isolate what we can, hold some elements constant, and test incremental but intentional changes. It's not pristine isolation, but it's controlled experimentation. Testing in the lab is clean. Marketing is messy!

In my experience I think this is crucial to being a copywriter in different industries. Having some sort of reference for key phrases, vocabulary and important information on each industry would prove useful for anyone writing for multiple businesses and different writing platforms.

The most important thing which I found often gets missed: 1. Get into your customers' shoes. 2. Never assume that your customers know what you already know being an advertiser. Having super awareness of these two things leads to the copy to which customers relates in a far better manner than anything else. Doesnt matter how creative or fluent the copy is, if the customer cant relate that to himself/herself.
