In my experience, using cloud-based tools has done miracles for my projects! Starting with a simple tracker that is editable by multiple people from different disciplines or companies and extending to having a comprehensive folder structure for all the project documents. These tools greatly reduce doubt of the correct version and improves coordination, especially when you work with other stakeholders in a different organization or time zone.
