Totally agreed! Effective Communication has the “chain effect” where uniformity and consistency are important values to adhere to. Bullet point presentations with minimal colour used for the design provides great visual effects and minimizes distractions (noise) and overcrowding which may result in poor engagement.

Se puede crear un Storytelling tan solo a través de la comunicación visual. Incluso esto puede ser igual o más valioso, que generar un contenido 100% escrito. Mi favorita sigue siendo la regla de tres por las siguientes razones: 1. La numeración ayuda a que las personas (y tu) retengan mejor la información. 2. Te obliga a priorizar 3 mensajes relevantes que quieres dejar. 3. Genera el ritmo adecuado al crear la sensación de que estás dando la información completa, sin extenderte más de la cuenta.

In my experience I've seen a lot of people put information on slides and then read the information straight off the slide. This makes it difficult because your audience is trying to read and hear at the same time. It may also make your audience switch off from listening to you because they think they've already read what you have to say. Try to put a small amount of information on your slides and talk around your content to make it more engaging.

Make sure to use slides as your support, not your script (or safety blanket). Your audience can read your slides faster than you can talk, so they will be bored and lose interest if you are reading from a slide. Your slides should enhance your story, not tell it! Know your stuff, and let the slides tell the story you can't say.
