1 Types of Remote Sensing

Remote sensing techniques can be classified into two main categories: passive and active. Passive remote sensing relies on natural sources of electromagnetic radiation, such as sunlight, to capture images of the site. Examples of passive remote sensing include optical, infrared, and thermal imaging. 2 Applications of Remote Sensing

Another one, Spatial and Temporal Resolution: Challenge: Balancing spatial and temporal resolution can be challenging. Higher spatial resolution often comes at the expense of temporal resolution and vice versa. One of the other limitation is time. Since remote sensing depends on lot of variables which are beyond human control, it may take more time to gather information, analyse it and work on solutions which may further delay the project. Hence time constraint is one of the key element which needs to be considered while using remote sensing.

From where Iam at, this is an area we are yet to fully utilise - managing construction work remotely. At the moment, this seems abit challenging given the cost of data, specialized software and the skills to go with it. The other thing is attitude of people, most times when you have people on site managing construction work, then only will they have good time management.
