How can you use random forests to build better predictive models?

Ensemble machine learning combines several weak models to create a more accurate, robust, and stable strong model. Some common types of ensemble methods include bagging, boosting, stacking, and voting. Bootstrap aggregating, or simply Bagging, involves creating multiple subsets of the original dataset, training a model on each subset, and combining the predictions. Bagging reduces variance and helps avoid overfitting. Random forest is an ensemble learning (bagging) method that constructs a multitude of decision trees at training time and outputs the average of their predictions at test time.

Decision Trees: Simply we can say that decision trees are multiple if else statements that help in prediction or classification. Random Forests: It is collection of multiple decision trees. Final output, whether it be classification or prediction is a combination of decisions by multiple decision trees. Combining weak learners (decision trees) to make a more reliable model (random forest) is called ensemble learning. It reduces the bias and variance leading to better performance than single model.

Random Forest model is like having a group of "friends" (individual decision trees) who each have their own opinion (prediction) about something. But instead of asking them directly, you feed them information (data) about past situations (training data) and let them learn from it. When you need a decision or prediction, you ask each "friend" (decision tree) separately, and then you combine their opinions to make a final decision. The importance of Random Forest lies in its ability to provide accurate predictions or classifications by combining the opinions of many individual decision trees.

Since Random forests combine multiple desicion trees fitted on random chosen subsets of input data, they are less prone to overfitting. This randomness also maked them more robust. And random Forests can handle high-dimensional data well.
