The synonym of pareto is 20/80 rule, it is more descriptive, it focuses on how to get the 20 % issues or causes that are responsible for 80 % of the problem, by this way we could increase the effeciency of problem solving beside acceleration of problem solving process.

First you need to know what are your main issues and that's why the Pareto chart is too important in the problem solving analysis, because it helps you to focus in the main problem and you can use your resources wisely. Then you need to find a solution to the principal problem and that's when you can use a lot of problem solving tools, the fishbone diagram is the one that I have used most because is too easy to implement and it helps you to consider every aspect of your process when you are doing the brainstorming.

We can use as below : Decide what categories will be use to group items. Decide what measurement is appropriate. Decide what period of time the Pareto chart will run. Collect the data. Finally, we are able to take necessary corrections, correction and preventive actions either to minimize or eliminate the underlying root cause that causes the problem.
