This framework can be leveraged in ideally any aspect of learning, development, coaching, performance improvement and so on. The wording GROW is quite apt for the framework as one can really leverage this framework frequently to grow both in professional and personal lives.

I use the GROW model by starting by identifying the skills that need to be improved. For leadership style, it is helpful to conduct an exercise to clearly show a client's leadership qualities at the start. Identify the strengths, and ask the client to select an area they want to improve. Create an action plan and act on the plan. Finally I would ask the client to retake the exercise to check if the improvement that was expected has occurred.

Options Exploration (O): Brainstorm potential strategies, approaches, and resources that can help you achieve your leadership goals. Consider different techniques, training programs, or mentorship opportunities. Example: Explore options such as enrolling in leadership development courses, seeking mentorship from experienced leaders, or joining professional networking groups to expand your leadership skills and knowledge.
