I have attended several safety seminars that featured a visual presentation of the seminar, as well as actual samples and mock-ups of safe working conditions. I found the mock-ups and equipment samples especially helpful for colleagues who weren't wholly fluent in English, and could not follow the whole written presentation. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense to show a video of proper PPE use, for example, when the presenter can easily provide actual samples that the audience can try out for themselves and gain firsthand understandings.
