One useful attribute to focus upon is the unconscious competencies people possess. Competencies help you to communicate in a better way but focusing, understanding and delving upon the unconscious competencies a person has & helps them to make better use of those hidden traits which they posses but do not generally focus on to become the better version of themself. These can be generally like: patient listener, assertiveness, cultural sensitivity, etc. To know more about these competencies, have open ended dialogues with all the people surrounding you. They are the best judges of these unconscious competencies you possess. Knowing yourself better by revisiting your pre recorded communications if any can also help you discover some of them.

2 Know your audience

The next step is to understand your audience and their needs, preferences, and expectations. How familiar are they with the current process and the reasons for change? What are their pain points, concerns, or objections? How do they prefer to learn and receive feedback? What are their motivations and incentives? Knowing your audience will help you tailor your communication to their level of knowledge, interest, and readiness.

One thing I have found helpful in my experience is that if you need to excel at training your team you need to keep in mind that psychology plays a vital in doing that, and knowing your audience in connection with psychology will help a lot. If you know the audience the next steps whether it is preparation or delivery will be crystal clear.

I am introducing an exclusive membership group to my audience on YouTube. Here's my process: 1) I mentioned it periodically to them so they won't be surprised once it launches. I talked about it in several community posts and subtly in long-form videos for no more than 20 seconds so they don't get overwhelmed with information. 2) I let them be involved with the process and the design, running polls and asking them how they think the pricing and structure should be. 3) I let them feel as if it's a collaborative effort. People want to feel like they belong and their voice/feedback gets heard. I am looking to launch the membership group at the end of next month, and I'm hoping for great results. I hope this helps!

In my experience, I have been using the audience interaction with counter questions or adding random and simple questions with answers of yes or no while training so, they will concentrate and your training will get responsive rather than static (in software terms).
